This great little gadget was put to use immediately and diagnosed properly the cause for our Check Engine light being on. It was an easy, DIY fix and we were off and running in no time. DH is quite pleased with this gift.

the pocketscan reader is an ideal tool for the at home DIY mechanic. although some parts stores offer a "free" code read, they immediately offfer the 90$ diagnostic service. with my own code reader, the included dvd, and the internet, i find i can save hundreds of $ by doing the work myself. it's much more convenient as well. you don't have to wait while the service "tech" has to pry himself away from the counter to read your codes which takes about a minute. literally. a great tool to have. thanks amazon!!!
